British viewers slam 'obnoxious' Eurosport Olympics swimming commentary - as anger continues over loss of BBC live coverage rights
British Olympics viewers have shown their true feelings with regards to Eurosport's commentators - and they're not positive. Cheekily stirring the cross-Atlantic rivalry, British television spectators have slammed one commentator as 'obnoxious' and 'annoying' and pilloried their pronunciation. It comes amid wider concerns surrounding the BBC's loss of Olympic coverage rights. The Olympic TV rights were sold to Warner Brothers Discovery (WBD), Eurosport's owners, in 2020, meaning the BBC can no longer offer the full range of coverage on the red button.
