Pereiraexplained why the welterweight contender is his favorite countrymanto watch. "I like Prates, Ruffy, Charles, and Jean Silva—all those guys,"Pereira said on the "Connect Cast" podcast. "The first one I reallyenjoy watching... I mean, I like knockouts, you know? Prates, inparticular—he's the man! I don't really watch many fights, but ifPrates is fighting, the only way I wouldn't watch is if I wereotherwise occupied."
