Tennessee man shakes and goes pale as he learns his fate for sickening crime
Sean Finnegan became physically distraught as he learned his fate for his sickening crime. Anderson County jury reached a verdict Wednesday and sentenced Finnegan to death by lethal injection for the 2019 murder of Jennifer Paxton. Deliberations for his sentencing began Tuesday but due to errors in the initial sentencing documents, they had to resubmit them to the judge three times. The judge announced the sentence, citing several aggravating factors that led to the jury's decision: The murder was exceptionally brutal and cruel, the victim endured severe torture and abuse before death, Finnegan was directly involved in the murder and had a significant role in the accompanying rape or kidnapping, and he intentionally mutilated the victim's body after their death.
