When filming the devastating funeral scene, Field noted, “You don't just think of it as 'Oh, it's just another day of the office.' ”

“It takes a part of your soul. It costs you. It cost every one of us. And we get a great deal of return from it because we learn from it," she shared. "We were certainly bonded in it, holding each other's hands the whole time. But it's not just a job."

The emotional funeral scene follows Shelby's death, with Field's character, M'Lynn, pacing through a graveyard processing her loss, while going through the five stages of grief.

“I want to know why!” she first cries out in the scene. “No, it's not supposed to happen this way. I'm supposed to go first,” before turning to anger and shouting, “I just want to hit something, hit it hard!”

The R-ratedSuperbadwas released back in 2007 to both critical and commercial acclaim, ultimately making $170 million globally against a budget that was just $20 million max.

Added to all the fan and critics' appreciation, OnBuy Movies once compiled IMDb data to ultimately determine thatSuperbadis the "funniest film of all time,"according to Cinemablend.

This August will mark 19 years since the teen sex comedy hit theaters, and fans have certainly seen it play over and over again on TV in the years since — but hopefully on channels like HBO, where the constant F-bombs don't have to be edited out. And in this modern age, viewers can probably find the coming-of-age film on various streaming platforms for an equally expletive-laced experience.

Millennials can probably recite entire scenes fromSuperbad— starringJonah Hill,Michael Cera,Emma Stone,Seth Rogen,Bill Haderand more — by heart, even to this day and even if they haven't seen the raunch-fest in years.

For anyone from the baby-boomer generation, meanwhile, seeingSuperbadmight have felt a bit nostalgic.

“AndAmerican Graffiti, with underage guys trying to buy liquor and all this other stuff happening in one night, that’s obviously another inspiration,” Cera, 37, also told the newspaper. "A whole generation was able to relate to what they saw in that as a true version of their experience at that age."

The film, directed byGreg Mottola, is also based on Rogen and co-writerEvan Goldberg's high school experiences and was reportedly a passion project for the duo.

The13 Reasons Whyactress, who came out as transgender in 2021,shared a series of photoson Instagram showing an older man texting various contacts about his discomfort over sharing a row with a trans traveler.

"I am in the first aisle of first class. Guess what is sitting next to me? A f---ing transsexual in the midst of going from a man to a woman," the man's text message read. "Just my luck. I was hoping for a hot babe!!"

He added, "Two and a half hours of sitting next to this freak!!"

The actress shared her reaction to her seatmate's cruelty in her caption.

"The audacity of this man so blatantly blasting off texts about me (sparing you the deeply misogynistic and revolting comments on our flight attendants in contrast to my freak) only reaffirms the choices I've made for myself to feel safe and comfortable in my body and spirit," she wrote. "This does come at the cost of safety and comfort in the world, especially in America, and that's not without consequence internally and externally. I am lucky to have the life I have, the ability to fly freely (for now), and even post s--- like this."

Dorfman also reflected on her appearance. "Objectively, I know I'm not 'passing' and I'm 'bricky' and 'clocky,' but passing hasn't been the point for me, nor should it be for any trans person," she wrote. "We are all allowed to evolve in any way that feels true, and that evolution can expand and contract. It's always been about alignment and autonomy for my own comfort, not the comfort of others or the expectations of society."

In one of the photos, the passenger received responses from a contact named Samantha, who wrote back, "Just remember many people you love are LGBTQ+ and this country sucks for them right now. Be kind!"
