  • The 13 Reasons Why actress took photos of the texts she says she saw while they were on a flight.

  • She captioned her message, "Why post, you may wonder? Because I can and this man is an alt-right vampire."

Tommy Dorfman is slamming a fellow passenger on her recent flight.

The13 Reasons Whyactress, who came out as transgender in 2021,shared a series of photoson Instagram showing an older man texting various contacts about his discomfort over sharing a row with a trans traveler.

"I am in the first aisle of first class. Guess what is sitting next to me? A f---ing transsexual in the midst of going from a man to a woman," the man's text message read. "Just my luck. I was hoping for a hot babe!!"

He added, "Two and a half hours of sitting next to this freak!!"

Dorfman's photos showed the passenger texting the same message to several different recipients.

The actress shared her reaction to her seatmate's cruelty in her caption.

"The audacity of this man so blatantly blasting off texts about me (sparing you the deeply misogynistic and revolting comments on our flight attendants in contrast to my freak) only reaffirms the choices I've made for myself to feel safe and comfortable in my body and spirit," she wrote. "This does come at the cost of safety and comfort in the world, especially in America, and that's not without consequence internally and externally. I am lucky to have the life I have, the ability to fly freely (for now), and even post s--- like this."

Dorfman also reflected on her appearance. "Objectively, I know I'm not 'passing' and I'm 'bricky' and 'clocky,' but passing hasn't been the point for me, nor should it be for any trans person," she wrote. "We are all allowed to evolve in any way that feels true, and that evolution can expand and contract. It's always been about alignment and autonomy for my own comfort, not the comfort of others or the expectations of society."

In one of the photos, the passenger received responses from a contact named Samantha, who wrote back, "Just remember many people you love are LGBTQ+ and this country sucks for them right now. Be kind!"

Dorfman gave Samantha a shout-out at the end of her caption. "And why post, you may wonder? Because I can and this man is an alt-right vampire AND because Samantha deserves her flowers," she wrote.

“Saturday Night Live” recap: Olivia Rodrigo doubles as host and musical guest

We are in the home stretch! It’sSNLin Review, for the first of the final three episodes of season 51. Olivia Rodrigo isback at 8Hand this time she’s hosting! She’s been the musical guest twice before, includingduring season 46.

Double duty can be tricky, and that’s why tonight I’m glad to be joined again by formerSNLcast member John Milhiser. His season had a few examples of this — including,as previously discussed, Lady Gaga. Milhiser offers tonight that “if you're a big enough star and personality, of course, you can do double duty. It's rare, and it's about the moment. Olivia is having her moment. Let her cook.”

Besides Gaga, Milhiser saw two other cases of hosts pulling double duty. The second episode of the season, in fact, was Miley Cyrus. Milhiser recalls really enjoying his time with Cyrus, and “she visitedSNLa few times that season. She was young, having fun, in her "wild" days. I never thought she was that wild, to be honest. ‘Wrecking Ball’ was the best song. Her performance of ‘Wrecking Ball’  is legendary. From her, when she did double duty. I still have herBangerzCD she signed for me. I've never played it because I didn't have a CD player. Another fun fact, for some reason, I kept herBangerzCD in my sock drawer for years.”

Then, months later, was Drake. He “was HUGE when he hosted. It was the era of DRAKE,” says Milhiser. “Everyone was obsessed. My cousin Keith and his son Morgan came as my guests to that show. Morgan was a big fan of Drake. I wanted to be the cool uncle, so I made it a priority to introduce Morgan to Drake.  Luckily, Drake was sitting at a table by himself, a few tables away from us. The stars were aligned. I said to Morgan, ‘You ready to go meet Drake?’ We walked over to Drake's table, and just when I was about to open my mouth to say ‘Hi!’ Drake's bodyguard steps in front and PUSHES me away. Very embarrassing. Drake stepped in and said, ‘No! It's okay. He's on the cast.’ The bodyguard didn't recognize me. Can you blame him? Anytoot, Drake was very nice to my cousin's son. Morgan got a great picture with him. I became a cool uncle that night thanks to Drake. He'll always hold a special place in my heart.”

Cold Open

You’re watching a span of your life watching C-Span. We join Karoline Leavitt (Ashley Padilla), who is four, five seconds from wilding — or actually, introducing a very cringe Pete Hegseth (Colin Jost). “Is it true you suck?” he asks the press. He proceeds to call them virgins and theater kids. Hegseth just clashed for a few days with Democrats in Congress over the Iran war.

Ah, time for some stunt casting: Aziz Ansari comes out as the under siege FBI Director Kash Patel. This is precedent-setting. He’s the first Indian person to suck at their job. We touch on recent headlines, Ansari does a commendable job, given the obviousness of the casting. (He hosted back in season 42 FYI!)

Monologue

Rodrigo’s favorite cast is from when she was in high school —so, Sarah Sherman, Mikey Day, Kenan Thompson, and Chloe Fineman were cast members! Ha.

When she was 6, she began acting in Old Navy commercials, even joining a Disney Channel show opposite Jake Paul. We get a fake outtake from the ad, and she lands a nice joke about Netflix. She mentions the time she fell off stage at a concert.

Mentioning “Drivers License,” she performs a spoof sequel. This time, she’s going to the DMV. Pretty entertaining! John Milhiser comments, “Love O-Rod. For a young artist, she brings a remarkable blend of self-assuredness, vulnerability, and musical reverence. Her kind of sugar-coated pop punk with just rough-enough edges is the perfect vehicle for her Gen Z blasé confessionalism, and humor is all throughout her songwriting.”

Zach Galifianakis Explains Why He Couldn't Make “Between Two Ferns ”Today, Shares Guest Who Was Surprisingly 'Really Good at Comedy'

Zach Galifianakis says he's hesitant to revive Between Two Ferns due to today's “meaner” culture

NEED TO KNOW

  • The satirical talk show featured celebrity guests like Brad Pitt and President Obama, the latter of whom Galifianakis called “great at comedy”

  • Galifianakis recalled Obama personally calling him after their episode, a moment he commemorated with a photo of an empty chair

There's one main reason thatZach Galifianakiswouldn't bring backBetween Two Fernsand it has to do with the times we live in.

OnThe Rich Eisen Show,Galifianakis, 56, was asked how long it had been since he filmed an episode of the satirical talk show and if he would ever bring it back.

“I feel like we're kind of living in meaner times right now and I'm not sure that that tonally might work at this moment. I don't know. I don't know," theHangoverstar replied.

Podcast host Rich Eisen, however, noted that he thinks “people are kind of in on the gag at this point," to which Galifianakis replied, “I guess so. Maybe that is the reason to do one.”

Eisen said that he occasionally pulls up bloopers from the show when he needs a laugh.

“I have seen those bloopers. I always say my career is a blooper," Galifianakis said. "Those bloopers are joyous. I've never been interested in pranking anyone. I always wanted to be a joint effort, but I never wanted the audience to think that. So then when we showed the bloopers, we kind of gave that up a little bit."

Between Two Fernswas a satirical talk show that started as a web series, known for its awkward interviews with public figures and Hollywood stars. The series was produced on and off between 2008 and 2018, featuring celebrities such as Jennifer Lawrence, Brad Pitt and even President Barack Obama.

There was also a Comedy Central television special and a Netflix original movie,Between Two Ferns: The Movie, which came out in 2019.

There's a moment in the Pitt episode where theFight Clubactor spat gum in Galifianakis' face.

“I asked him to do that,” he admitted to Eisen.

“I think he just put my gum in his mouth and spit it in my face. It was my gum. I think he took it out of me, I can't remember. Right. Yep. That's how that went down," he added.

Most of the guests, Galifianakis shared, “were pretty game," but emphasized that they didn't "get the questions ahead of time" — aside from one special guest.

"I think with President Obama, they did because we didn't have that much time with them, and then I don't want to give them the questions at all because that takes away the element of surprise that you need that honest reaction from them."

While they made an exception for the 44th U.S. President, Galifianakis said the politician showed up eager to participate and didn't give away any of the jokes.

"It's like Obama's from The Second City. He's really good at comedy," the actor said, admitting he was "incredibly nervous" beforehand.

“We were in the White House, we went to him and I'm not a cool cat. He was great," Galifianakis recalled. "He called me after it came out. He called my cell phone. I'll never forget, I was at a construction site. He calls me. I'm with traffic cones and he calls me, we chat and then I hang up. I'm alone and I had no one and I just took a picture of the chair I was sitting on."

“I have a picture of an empty chair next to two traffic cones to commemorate the call I got from Obama," he added. "I actually got nervous when he called me because I didn't expect that. I didn't, he didn't have to call me."
