CHARLIZE Theron's age-defying beauty has stood the test of time, with the star still looking remarkably similar to how she did in 1997's The Devil's Advocate.

The Oscar-winning actress has openly discussed the skincare regimen, exercise, and diet she lives by at age 48.

Charlize dominated the late 1990s and early 2000s, starring in 1998's Celebrity, 1999's The Cider House Rules, and 2003's The Italian Job.

She became the first African to win an acting Oscar after her captivating performance as serial killer Aileen Wuornos in 2003's Monster.

The Snow White and the Huntsman actress has repeatedly left film fanatics in awe of her appearance as well as her acting talent.

"I'm convinced Charlize Theron is aging backward," one person tweeted.

"Charlize Theron looks stunning from the tips of her toenails to the ends of her hair! Living, breathing, walking perfection," another said.

The face of Dior's J'Adore was voted the sexiest woman alive by readers of Esquire magazine back in 2007, having previously been given 8th place on FHM's list in 2001.

Charlize has revealed that she isn't afraid of aging despite being famed for her looks.

"My face is changing, and I love that my face is changing and aging," she told Allure

"People think I had a facelift. They're like, 'What did she do to her face?' I'm like, 'B***h, I'm just aging! It doesn't mean I got bad plastic surgery. This is just what happens.'"

We've taken a deep dive into her anti-aging secrets to unveil how she remains ageless amid the demands of everyday life.

SKINCARE

Charlize Theron has gained an appreciation for skincare after having to wear heavy makeup and prosthetics for her acting roles.

However, she revealed that it wasn't until her 30s that she began to develop a routine, and admits she still isn't as "ritualistic" as some of her friends.

"In my 20s I would sleep with my make-up on, wake up the next morning, and use a Q-tip to clean it up and go right back out into the world," she told Harpers Bazaar.

"And then you hit your mid or late 30s and you're like, 'Oh, so this is why they make moisturizers for your face!'

"I think the older you get, the more you want to feel good about your skin."

The actress wears SPF 50 sunscreen every day, regardless of the weather.

She swears by La Roche-Posay, $37, on sunny days, and otherwise uses La Prairie Cellular Radiance Emulsion.

"When I wake up I just rinse my face and put on sunscreen," she previously told Harpers Bazaar.

"I like to try new products, but there are ones I always go back to, like Crème de la Mer, you know, the classics," she said of the $50 cream.

She said she applies a serum, eye cream, and a good moisturizer at night and gets a facial from Mila Moursi in Los Angeles every three weeks.

Charlize told Vogue that she always has La Mer lip balm in her bag, which is available from Nordstrom for $80.

Other skincare products that she swears by include La Mer Cleansing Gel, Dior's Instant Gentle Exfoliant, and Dior's Prestige Le Nectar De Nuit serum.

"I like Dior's L'Or De Vie La Crème moisturizer or the Prestige La Crème," she added.

"Then if it's winter and really, really cold, I'll use Crème De La Mer."

MAKEUP

Back in 2020, Charlize shared with her 7.6 million Instagram followers two photos of herself having her makeup done by her daughter.

"To every make-up artist out there….. watch out, you've got competition!" she joked.

The actress often does her own makeup, having grown up with Jessica Lange and Frances McDormand among her beauty influences.

She told W magazine that her mom helped to shape her perception of beauty and how to do makeup.

"She was always like, 'Trust me, your skin will never be this good,'" Charlize said.

"'Stop putting so much foundation on.' And she was so right. I don't use foundation at all anymore. On older skin, it just ages you."

Having been signed as a brand ambassador for Dior in 2004, it is perhaps unsurprising that the items in her makeup bag are from the French luxury brand.

She has previously spoken about using DiorBlush Vibrant Color Powder Blush in Rose Libertine, Diorshow Fusion Mono Eyeshadow in Tromp d'Oeil, and Dior Forever Skin Glow.

"I've always been more casual and effortless," she told Elle. "I try to keep my red carpet look classic.

"My makeup artist, Shane Paish, usually does some sort of smoky eye by lining my upper and lower lash line with waterproof liner and coating my lashes with tons of mascara.

"I'm lucky enough to have worked with the same crew who create a cohesive look with my hair, makeup, and styling."

HAIR

Though she's taken a turn as a brunette, Charlize is mostly known for her blonde locks.

According to Cosmopolitan, the two-toned color palette of Charlize's hair embraces the Gemini hair trend.

"Also known as color blocking/paneling, the trend is an evolution of the popular 'money piece' that gradually got bolder and less blended" Jordanna Cobella, Wella Professionals UK Colour Ambassador and Trend Forecaster told the magazine.

Charlize is among colorist Tracey Cunningham's loyal customers.

Tracey swears by Olaplex haircare products including their No. 3 Repairing Treatment and No. 5P Blonde Enhancer Toning Conditioner.

She also recommends Dr. Barbara Sturm Balancing Scalp Serum, which costs $100.

"You have to nourish your scalp. Once you lose [a] follicle, you will never get it back," she told CNN.

"You have to keep your scalp clean and make sure that there's room for hair to grow, and this serum is great for that."

Charlize previously revealed that she also uses castor oil to keep her hair healthy.

"I put it on my brows and scalp once or twice a week. It's definitely made my hair thicker," she told Harpers Bazaar.

FITNESS

Charlize Theron has been working with personal trainer Fedele De Santis throughout the years to maintain her svelte figure.

However, depending on the movie that she's working on she may also receive training from other specialists.

"For instance, for Atomic, I actually had eight trainers checking in with me at various times," she told RSNG.

"They helped me so much because I really had doubts that I'd be able to get to the level I needed to for those fight sequences.

"Each brought something different to the way I was going about building strength and working martial arts into routines I already had established."

The actress revealed that she works out up to four times a week, with her favorite exercises including pilates, power yoga, and spin.

She said her diet for the day changes depending on how active she's been, so even on a rest day she keeps moving.

Charlize said her body takes longer to recover now than when she was younger it can be a challenge when making action movies.

"More than my face, I wish I had my 25-year-old body that I can just throw against the wall and not even hurt tomorrow," she told Allure.

"Now, if I don't work out for three days and I go back to the gym, I can't walk. I can't sit down on the toilet."

DIET

Charlize follows a predominantly raw plant-based diet and according to Women's Health, she eats six small meals throughout the day.

The actress practices portion control and will have a quarter of a burger rather than deprive herself when she feels like indulging.

"I have juices and kale and green salads every single day," she told Red magazine.

"When I'm eating healthily, getting enough sleep, and not drinking alcohol, that's when I look my best.

"That's when I'm happiest and I think it shows."

COREY Gamble has become a firm fixture on the Hollywood circuit, appearing on red carpets, at sports games, and at showbiz events where he is dressed to the hilt.

Despite his decade-long romance with fashion-forward Kris Jenner, a stylist has claimed after shedding a few pounds, Corey's outfit blunders are not letting up.

Corey looks like a Grandma when he wears D&G two pieces and accessorizes with hats and jewelry, said an expert[/caption]

Corey, 43, had been sharing images on Instagram for months promoting his fashion collaboration with D&G.

Accessorizing his pricey two pieces with jewelry and hats, the former talent manager's modeling efforts have stood out.

In March, he showed up in velvet pants and a cardigan at a Lakers game.

He put on an all-mustard set with a shiny buckle hat in April.

Stylist Tavia Sharp said Corey was brandishing a "new style template."

She suggested the Atlanta native's weight loss has fueled his "attention-craving" fashion efforts.

"Corey has started to look feminine," Sharp told The U.S. Sun.

"Corey has lost a lot of weight but has been showing off a new style template.

"It is terrible because his shape has changed, and his clothes and all these accessories make him look like a grandma.

"Corey has started to crave attention and carve his style and profile outside his partner, Kris.

"Corey thinks he is fashion-forward and a trendsetter in his own right.

"But he is jumping on all the wrong trends for his look and shape.

"This is despite the Kardashian family's sway in the fashion industry and on the world stage."

<!-- End of Brightcove Player -->

On Wednesday, Corey shared an image on Instagram of himself posing courtside in Denver in April.

This time he was wearing a long black coat and sunglasses.

"The Gardener," he captioned the post, referring to this year's Met Gala dress code.

"To a basketball game?" commented one follower.

"Getting too skinny," another said.

FLOWER POWER

Sharp claimed Corey's Met Gala plug was misplaced while his clothes did "not fit."

"The long black coat with the white flower ahead of the Met Gala was Corey's promotion away from Kris," she said.

<!--googleoff: all-->  <blockquote class="article__quote">    </blockquote>  <!--googleon: all-->

"The coat did not fit him.

"Corey could have been making fun of the Garden of Time theme for the Met Gala event.

"This was Corey's personal Met Gala fashion plug."

Corey and The Kardashian-Jenners were not the only celebrities vying for attention at the 2024 Met Gala.

Their family's relationship with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, 74, has been said to be complex.

"We can never tell if Anna Wintour likes the Kardashians," said Sharp.

"The Kardashians are invited to these events because of their name, but Anna Wintour is very strict.

<!--googleoff: all-->  <blockquote class="article__quote">    </blockquote>  <!--googleon: all-->

"Basketball has nothing to do with the Met Gala, a separate, high-profile event.

"Corey's black coat and the gala plug were out of place.

"Anna Wintour respects creatives.

"She partners with people she respects, thinks are serious, and have talent.

"I wonder now what Anna Wintour thinks of Corey and Kris."

REIGNED IN

On Monday evening, Corey set to work outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

In front of the world media, he posed in a white suit and sunglasses with Kris, 68.

Also, in monochrome white, the reality star stayed true to the Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion theme.

Her outfit was embroidered with flowers that fell halfway down her back.

Sharp claimed Kris could have reigned in Corey's style.

"Kris is pretty conservative, so for the Met, she would have had him wear that Travis Kelce-style white suit," she said.

"She usually does not interfere, but Corey's style can sometimes be inconsistent.

"Kris would have had a hand in some of the red carpets they do together.

<!--googleoff: all-->  <blockquote class="article__quote">    </blockquote>  <!--googleon: all-->

"Generally, she would probably go for Travis Kelce-type looks on Corey

"He should hire a stylist for all the money he has and spends.

"This would help him curate a style that aligns with the image he is trying to project with Kris.

"Or the ones he is working on, on his own."

Tavia Sharp said that Corey (seen here in 2023) should take on a stylist to help out[/caption]

The pair met in 2014 in Ibiza when Corey worked for Justin Bieber.

Kris was going through a divorce.

After moving into her luxury Californian mansion, Corey first appeared on KUWTK in 2015.

"I think Corey is super. He's an amazing guy," she said.

"He's really supportive and he's really dialed into a lot of the different things," Kris told People in 2022.

A stylist claimed that Corey was trying to follow trends that did not suit him and that looked feminine[/caption]

Sharp said Kris impacted Corey's style at first.

"Kris won Corey the D&G collaboration, which he has thrown himself into," she said.

"He started to branch out and copy other celebrities.

"Corey needs that more modern style that is fashion forward.

<!--googleoff: all-->  <blockquote class="article__quote">    </blockquote>  <!--googleon: all-->

"Currently, if he matches anyone, Corey's style matches Rob Kardashian's.

"Rob is the least stylish of the family and one who does not bother about fashion at all."

BUCKLED UP

In March, Correy shared images on Instagram showing cowboy hats and belts.

"Okay, Beyonce. You got the memo," commented one follower.

"Ozempic looks on Corey," said another.

Corey looks to be channeling Beyonce with his Stetson when he posed courtside[/caption]

Sharp suggested he continued gravitating toward the wrong looks with his ongoing weight loss.

"The cowboy style was channeling the Beyonce trend – which is also feminine," she said.

"Corey started to look slimmer through the spring, and Kris appears to have dropped weight pretty quickly.

"He started showing off all his fashions with his stomach buckled up.

"Before now, Corey had his silk shirts all hanging out.

"If it is any consolation, whatever trend he gravitates toward, Corey feels much more confident."

Vanderpump Rules star Jo Wenberg claimed Tom Schwartz blocked her after she spoke about his girlfriend, Sophia Skoro, during an Instagram Live.

Jo, 35, took to Instagram Live once again on Friday, May 10, and read alleged text messages from Schwartz, 41.

"Please don't mention me or my girlfriend anymore. Why would you waste another second of your life chasing someone who doesn't want to be with you," one alleged message from Schwartz said, according to Jo, who was reading off of her cell phone.

While Schwartz said he wasn't trying to "gaslight" Jo, he asked that she "let [him] go," adding, "Respectfully blocking you so whatever you say will fall on deaf ears."

Jo said she would continue to talk about the reality star because he was a "massive part" of her life, and she now "can kind of relate to" Schwartz's ex-wife, Katie Maloney.

"She probably wasn't wrong," Jo said of Katie, 37, before bringing up their dynamic during season 11. "However, she was mean to me, but if you really think about it and break it down … you know what, I really learned my lesson."

Jo's IG Live comes one day after she called Schwartz's girlfriend "a fan" on the platform.

"I think Tom Schwartz is dating a fan. Sorry, I mean, I just know that for a fact," she said of Sophia, who first sparked romance rumors with Schwartz in March. "And I think that that's amazing. … Like, let's just let him do his thing."

Following Schwartz and Katie's split in March 2022 after 12 years together, the TomTom co-owner was romantically linked to Jo the following December. In February 2023, Schwartz said he and Jo were living together but claimed their relationship was platonic.

While Jo didn't receive a warm welcome from Schwartz's Vanderpump Rules castmates, Katie said her ex showed a "bit of a F-boy behavior" after hearing Jo's side of things during the season 11 reunion.

"Seeing their dynamic and seeing how they were together and getting kind of Jo's perspective on the whole thing was very eye-opening," Katie exclusively told Us Weekly in April. "And I kind of did feel for her because he was giving her the runaround and breadcrumbing her a bit, and it made me feel a little sad because she did have an investment in him and real feelings there."

Camryn Manheim will leave Law & Order following the season 23 finale.

Manheim, 63, portrays Lieutenant Kate Dixon, joined the cast when NBC revived the series in 2021. The May 16 season finale will be her 48th and final episode.

"I thank Camryn for her three wonderful seasons helping us relaunch Law & Order," creator Dick Wolf said in a statement on Friday, May 10. "She is a class act, and I wish her nothing but the best for her next chapter."

Though Manheim became known on the series for playing Dixon, the commanding officer of the Manhattan North Homicide Squad, that wasn't actually her first character in the franchise. She appeared in a guest spot during the show's first season in 1991 and returned playing other characters in 1993 and 1994.

Dick Wolf's TV Universe: The Biggest and Best Crossover Connections

"I had the most incredible experience being a part of the Law & Order Universe, and more importantly the Wolfpack," Manheim wrote via Instagram on Friday. "I'm so thankful for the three wonderful seasons that I spent with this wildly talented cast of merry pranksters. Mehcad Brooks, Reid Scott, Connie Shi, Anthony Anderson, Jeffrey Donovan, Hugh Dancy, Odelya Halevi, Tony Goldwyn and Sam Waterston. Not to mention the stellar guest stars that came in and out of the studio doors."

Manheim's departure follows that of Waterston, who played District Attorney Jack McCoy in 405 episodes from 1994 to 2024. His final appearance came in February, and Goldwyn, 63, has since replaced him, playing new DA Nick Baxter.

"Greetings, you wonderful people. It's a pleasure to talk directly like this to the backbone of Law & Order's absolutely amazing audience," Waterston, 83, told The Hollywood Reporter at the time of his departure. "The time has come for me to move on and take Jack McCoy with me. There's sadness in leaving, but I'm just too curious about what's next. An actor doesn't want to let himself get too comfortable. I'm more grateful to you than I can say."

Interview With the Vampire's Bailey Bass 'Unable to Return' to Season 2

Manheim and Waterston's exits come on the heels of Donovan, who played Detective Frank Cosgrove, leaving the show last season. In season 21, Anderson left, with his character being replaced by Brooks.

When Manheim first joined the cast as a series regular during Law & Order's revival, she came in to replace S. Epatha Merkerson. Merkerson, 71, played Lieutenant Anita Van Buren from 1993 to 2010, when the show was originally canceled.

Law & Order has already been renewed for a 24th season amid a 56 percent viewership bump from season 22.

Everyone goes through an awkward phase, even megawatt movie stars like Chris Pine.

Pine, 43, was dropped right back into one of the hardest and most uncomfortable periods of his life during the Thursday, May 9 episode of the "Happy Sad Confused" podcast. Host Josh Horowitz asked the Poolman actor to recount his bombed audition for Fox's The O.C., which aired from 2003 to 2007. While Pine would go on to prove he has leading man chops, his acting wasn't what got him eliminated from the casting call — it was his "awful skin."

"I was going out for The O.C., a teenage melodrama. I can understand that they wanted to have pretty people doing pretty things," he said, with the benefit of hindsight. "It's no fun going out for roles when you have bad skin. It was one of the most traumatic points in my life."

In Welcome to the O.C.: The Oral History, released last fall, casting director Patrick Rush revealed that Pine's acne was the reason he didn't score the role of Ryan Atwood, which went to Benjamin McKenzie.

Rewinding 'The O.C.': Counting Down the Show's Most Iconic Moments

"I hate saying this, but it's the truth: Chris Pine was at the age where he was experiencing really bad skin problems. And it was at that point where it looked insurmountable," Rush said in the book. "And as a kid who grew up with horrible skin, it just broke my heart."

On Thursday's podcast, Horowitz offered that not landing a role on the Fox soap might have been a blessing, giving the way his career turned out.

"I don't want to say I'm grateful for not having landed The O.C., but …" Pine agreed.

Pine also took a moment to raise awareness that acne can be more than just a passing time in a young person's life.

"Acne is regarded as this thing; it's like what you go through as a teenager," he said. "It can also be tremendously debilitating and, like, really seriously emotionally incapacitating."

'Welcome to the O.C.' Book's Biggest Bombshells: Mischa Barton's Exit, More

Pine went on to say that he hopes people dealing with persistent, long-term skin issues know that it does eventually get better.

"Anyone out there who's experiencing that, I get you. I hear you. I've been there. I know it. I know how depressing it can be and the kind of depths of sorrow it can drag you to but there is a brighter day," he said.

Pine's career is proof of that. Shortly after The O.C. first aired, Pine's career got a jump-start with a role in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. The 2004 movie offered him $65,000 to play one of lead Anne Hathaway's potential suitors, an amount of money he said was "earth-shattering" at the time.

Since then, Pine has taken on two of the most iconic characters in all of nerdom with roles as Captain Kirk in three Star Trek films and Wonder Woman love interest Steve Trevor. His attitude toward everything from negative reviews to his own outfits proves that he's learned to let incidents like one bad casting call roll off his back.

Taylor Swift truly is a mastermind because her "So High School" Eras Tour routine appears to be littered with Travis Kelce references.

Swift, 34, added a snippet of "So High School" — a Tortured Poets Department song that seemingly shouts out Kelce, 34, and their love story — to her concert setlist on Thursday, May 9. "So High School" came shortly after a performance of "But Daddy I Love Him," as Swift and her backup dancers moved from center stage to a set of stadium-caliber bleachers.

Swift's fans have since pointed out that the dancers' poses all corresponded to different reactions that the pop star had while attending Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs NFL games this past season. According to a fan-made graphic circulating on X, each performer appeared to take on a different pose of Swift's.

One dancer down in front was seen pointing directly ahead and it has been presumed that she was mimicking Swift pointing at Kelce at February's Super Bowl. Another dancer leaned forward, resting a hand on his chin. Swift had done the same at a 2023 Chiefs vs. Packers away game.

Other fans pointed out that two of Swift's dancers even appeared to hug, much like how she embraced Brittany Mahomes (the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes) at multiple home games in the fall.

There also appeared to be more football references in the "So High School" set-up, with fans clocking that the stadium lights looked like ones in a sports venue. Plus, Swift and her dancers' choreography seemed to directly reference several of Kelce's touchdown dances and the "swag surfing" routine that Chiefs fans do to hype up the players. (Swift notably "swag-surfed" with Brittany, 28, during a January playoff game.)

As Swift began her European tour leg on Thursday, Kelce has been supporting her from afar. (He is currently filming FX show Grotesquerie in Los Angeles.)

"LFG!" Kelce commented on Swift's guitarist Paul Sidoti's Instagram post about resuming the Eras Tour shows.

These Taylor Swift Lyrics Suggest She Manifested Travis Kelce Relationship

Swift and Kelce have been dating since summer 2023, frequently supporting one another's respective careers. Just as Swift attended 13 of Kelce's NFL games, he has stepped out at multiple Eras concerts during his NFL offseason.

"When you say a relationship is public, that means I'm going to see him do what he loves, we're showing up for each other, other people are there and we don't care," Swift told TIME in her 2023 Person of the Year profile. "The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you're seeing someone. And we're just proud of each other."

Kelce has since hinted that he plans to attend future Eras Tour shows, which Swift will perform across Europe and the United Kingdom throughout the summer. North American shows resume in October.

After a six-year romance with Taylor Swift, Joe Alwyn is used to internet stans being a little bit catty toward him. Maybe that served as the inspiration for his feline-centric promotion for his new movie with Emma Stone?

Alwyn, 33, shared a still via Instagram on Friday, May 10, from their upcoming film, Kinds of Kindness. He followed the official still with a parody photo of himself and Stone, 35, as cats. The film is Yorgos Lanthimos' follow-up to 2023's Poor Things, which also starred Stone and netted her a Best Actress Oscar earlier this year.

Alwyn and Stone are long-time friends, having worked together on another Lanthimos picture 2018's The Favourite. That relationship hasn't soured in the wake of Alywn's split from Swift, another close friend of the actress (and famous cat lover). Speaking about their time on set, Stone called Alywn "one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet" in press production notes for the movie.

"I love Joe," she shared. "We had to do some pretty dark stuff on this one, so it was extremely comforting to be with him."

Alwyn and Swift called it quits in 2023. Their separation and a subsequent fling with The 1975's Matty Healy inspired much of her most recent album, The Tortured Poets Department. The album held equal venom for Healy's alleged pretensions as for fans who criticized Swift's choice of partner. A reference to London pub The Black Dog — along with the insinuation that Alwyn is a regular — caused Swifties to swarm the bar looking for her ex.

"I don't want to give too much away, We do have a certain blond regular who frequents, let's just say that," proprietor Lily Bottomley told Sky News.

The reported haunt of Alwyn became decidedly less conducive to a quiet pint, as Bottomley began to sell Swift-themed items (and reported the highest foot traffic the bar has ever seen).

While Alwyn and Swift were together, they kept their relationship as buttoned-up and close to the vest as possible. A source close to the couple told Us Weekly that the intense scrutiny of Swift's fans was a sticking point in their relationship. "Joe is very shy and never liked all of the attention that came with dating one of the most popular singers in the world," the insider said.

The spotlight-averse actor has remained mum about the breakup in the wake of TTPD, even while working with one of Swift's collaborators on the project. Stone is credited with contributing "oddities" on "Florida!!!," featuring Florence and the Machine.

As one of the first intimacy professionals to be recognized by SAG-AFTRA, Brooke M. Haney has become the go-to when it comes to choreographing sexually charged scenes.

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Haney — who's served as an intimacy coordinator for Mayor of Kingstown, Elsbeth, The Best Man: The Final Chapters, Harlem and East New York — dished on what goes into overseeing sensitive sequences that translate into moments of passion onscreen and, most importantly, creating a safe space for the cast and crew.

"We joke that we're the only person production hires and pays to tell them no," Haney told Us while promoting their new book, The Intimacy Coordinator's Guidebook: Specialties for Stage and Screen. (Haney goes by they/she pronouns.)

Following the #MeToo movement, liaisons for actors and producers on projects where nudity may be involved became more prevalent. "Actors often say that they feel a lot safer with an intimacy coordinator," Haney, who has acted in the past, shared. "I don't think of my job as making actors feel safe — I think of it as making actors feel prepared because I can't define safety for someone else."

Michael Douglas Feels Like Intimacy Coordinators Take 'Control Away'

Haney's job starts with a meeting to understand the "vision" of the scene followed by discovering the "boundaries" of the actors involved.

"[I] meet with the director and producer in advance of shooting, and ask, 'What's the vision for this scene?' because ultimately, they're the storyteller," Haney said. "Then I meet with the actor and say, 'Here's the vision. What are your thoughts on the scene and what are your boundaries? Do your boundaries align with the way the director wants to tell this story?'"

"If they say, 'yes', great, we're good to go," Haney continued. However, often, "Actors will have a boundary [so] I'll go to the director and [say], 'We have a boundary, here are three other ways I think we can get your idea across in an equally or more compelling way. What do you think?'"

Two crucial elements in helping actors feel comfortable is letting them know what to expect ahead of time and considering the "different kinds of ways people have power," Haney shared, noting it's not rare for a rising actor working alongside an A-list star to be eager to impress the people they're working with.

"There's times when I work with an actor who [says], 'I don't need an intimacy coordinator, I feel totally fine articulating my boundaries,' and I'm like, 'Great, my job is not to be your voice,'" Haney continued. "If you feel confident, that's fantastic, [but] you're not the only one in the scene."

Steamiest TV Sex Scenes: From 'Bridgerton' to 'The Artful Dodger'

Filming threesomes or sex scenes with multiple participants can be more time-consuming and complex. "People's boundaries can be different with different people or around different actions," Haney explained, "so it's important I meet with each person individually and check in with them about everyone they're working with, and bring us together so we have a group understanding of what's going to happen."

Of course, there are certain things that are off-limits when it comes to filming sex scenes ("It's always fake, so any real sexual act is a no-no," Haney explained) but showmances can and do happen "quite frequently, honestly," which makes sense to Haney.

"One of the things we talk about in the book is about, in scenes of trauma and non-consent, asking actors to put their bodies into positions of fear or terror or rage, [that] our bodies don't know it's fake physiologically and still feel like they've gone through that — it's similar with intimacy," Haney explained. "If the screenwriter is giving you all the right words to say, and the choreography is giving you all the best choreography, it can feel really good."

Breaking Down Us' Most Anticipated Romantic Comedies of 2024

Still, an intimacy coordinator's job is to make sure that everything unfolding in production pertains to work. "I'm not going to be in charge of controlling what actors do on their own time. That's their business," Haney — who created The Actor's Warm Down, a 20-minute closure practice for actors who have worked on challenging projects — said. "But when we're at work, it should never be about their personal relationship, it should be about the characters."

There is only one goal when it comes to filming sex scenes, says Haney: "The audience should think it's real and the actors should feel like it's fake — sort of."

Fire Island, written by and starring Joel Kim Booster, may be inspired by Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, but one scene in particular was taken from Booster's real life.

"The 'Heads-up' scene in Fire Island is ripped from the headlines of my life," Booster, 36, tells Us Weekly exclusively as part of his 25 Things You Don't Know About Me feature. "My friends and I are big on game nights and things get competitive. It's how I found out my boyfriend didn't know who Natalie Imbruglia was."

The movie — which also stars Bowen Yang, Conrad Ricamora, James Scully and Margaret Cho — follows a group of gay friends who go on vacation to Fire Island, an island off of New York known for its queer-friendly community.

The "Heads-Up" scene Booster references follows the group as they play an intense round of the iPhone game, which prompts the players to guess the name of a person, place or thing which can be read on the phone held on the forehead of one player.

The players hilariously try to get Ricamora's character, Will, to guess the name of Marisa Tomei by acting out some of her iconic movie scenes.

"No, the defense is wrong!" Keegan (Tomas Matos) and Luke (Matt Rogers) exclaim, imitating Tomei's line in My Cousin Vinny. "My biological clock is ticking like this and the way this case is going, I ain't ever getting married!"

"That's actually the problem with Hollywood," Luke adds. "It's people like you who forget about Marisa Tomei, but they remember Alicia Vikander."

Take it from actor-director John Krasinski: peer pressure works.

During a stop on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on Friday, May 10, Krasinski, 44, said he used "emotional blackmail" to add Blake Lively to the ranks of his star-studded cast of IF, which already included her husband, Ryan Reynolds.

"I was like, 'Everybody's doing it,'" Krasinski said of his pitch.

In addition to Reynolds, with whom the Gossip Girl alum shares four children, Lively, 36, joined the likes of Krasinski's former Office costar Steve Carrell, Bradley Cooper and George Clooney in the movie about the world of imaginary friends. She plays Octopuss, a cat that dresses up like an octopus to will herself past her fear of water.

Krasinski says he came up with the idea almost a decade ago while watching his kids play and felt a newfound urgency to complete it during the coronavirus pandemic.

"I used to just stand in the doorway and watch my kids disappear into this magical world that we as parents aren't allowed in," he shared. "It actually wasn't until the pandemic when genuinely I saw their lights starting to go out … I went, 'That's it, I'm writing this movie right now to prove to you that magical world is always there. You can always go back.'"

The idea resonated with Hollywood A-listers, as Krasinski said he received "the most 'yeses' of my career" for the movie. Clooney's decision to take a role in the movie is particularly resonant for Krasinski, as he was the first person who saw the one-time sitcom star moving into the director's chair.

"He was the first person who ever thought I would direct. He would take me to dinner while we were shooting Leatherheads, and he would show me a drawing. 'This is what I'm going to shoot tomorrow. This is where I'm going to place the cameras,'" Krasinski told Fallon. "I said, 'That's amazing. Why are you telling me this?' He said, 'Well, you're not just going to be an actor, are you?'"

What 'The Office' Cast Has Said About a Revival

Krasinski said that Clooney, 63, saw the desire to direct in him before he did, joking that he only "takes 10 percent" for his mentorship. The Clooney team-up was far from the only emotional reunion brought on by the film. A video shared by Paramount Pictures captured Carrell and Krasinski reuniting for the first time in years while making the movie. Krasinski told Total Film Magazine that Carrell's speech to him soon after brought on the waterworks.

"As much fun as it was to work with him, the most powerful part about it was he came in with the most heartfelt speech about how proud he is of me to be making movies. He said in reading the script, 'I'm just so honored to be a part of it. I'll do whatever it takes,'" the director shared last month. "So when I thought that I would be laughing all day, I was crying all day."

IF hits theaters on Friday, May 17.
