Miley Cyruspaid tribute toHannah Montanain a special way at theHannah Montana 20th Anniversary Specialpremiere.
At the Los Angeles premiere of the Disney+ special on Monday, March 23, the singer, 33, wore a T-shirt displaying herself as her sitcom character Hannah Montana, paired with a sparkly dress to mark the momentous occasion.
Miley sported acustom Rabanne chainmail gownwith a plunging neckline, revealing a white Hannah Montana T-shirt underneath with glittery silver stars, in tribute to her iconic Disney Channel character. She also wore her hair loosely with side bangs, recreating Hannah Montana's signature hairstyle.
The "Flowers" singer accessorized her look with silver and gold crystal-embellished bracelets, a stack of embellished rings and a pair of matching silver court heels.
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE on the evening, Cyrus reflected on the wig she wore as Montana during season one of the show.
"There's been a lot of commentary about the wig...I think it was pretty good for what we were working with," she said.
As for what she would tell her younger self about filming the show, Cyrus said she would tell a young Miley to "enjoy and have fun because [filming the show is] a lot of work."
"But it's also worth it," she added.

TheHannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, which airs Tuesday, Mar. 24, offers a look back at the hit sitcom two decades later. On the show, Miley is interviewed byCall Her Daddy'sAlex Cooper, and "never-before-seen archival footage" is revealed, along with other surprises.
At the premiere on Monday, Miley was supported by her loved ones, including her fiancé,Max Morando, mom,Tish Cyrus, Tish's husband,Dominic Purcell, and her older sister,Brandi Cyrus.
Miley also reunited with her originalHannah Montanacostars Cody Linley, Jason Earles, Ilona Maher, Lainey Wilson, Moises Arias, Shanica Knowles and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle at the premiere.
Miley rose to fame as a child star on the Disney Channel showHannah Montana, which followed the eponymous pop star living a double life. She played the character for five years up until the series finale in January 2011.

In a recent interview withVariety,Miley said that returning to theHannah Montana"felt like home again."
"It's not just a TV show. I see daily how important Hannah is to people," she told the outlet.
Miley said that filming the special in front of a studio audience also reminded her of how significant the show has become.
