Dame Prue Leith had Alex Jones gasping and guffawing in shock as she shared some rather fruity language about her husband on Friday's The One Show.

The Great British Bake Off decide, 84, made an appearance on the pre-watershed programme to talk about her brand new Saturday morning cooking present for ITV, Prue Leith's Cotswold Kitchen.

Because of its at-home premise, the culinary skilled will probably be joined onscreen by her husband, retired designer John Playfair.

It seems that John, 77, is quite a natural in front of the digital camera though, leading to a bit disgruntlement from his TV personality wife.

Alex, who was co-hosting with Roman Kemp, brought up the 'brand new movie star' concerned on Dame Prue's present, to which she replied: 'I know.'

'I'm frankly p***ed off about it,' the chef added to a refrain of gasps and guffaws.

As the show reduce to footage from Dame Prue's new kitchen-based present, Alex exclaimed: 'Properly Prue Leith, you possibly can't say that on The One Present! It's a family show!'

She and Roman might then be heard laughing along with the crew as Dame Prue then swiftly apologised.

'I'm sorry! I'm very sad about it as a result of he has turned out to be an absolute star,' she admitted.

'Omg #prue swearing on the one present,' added Sharon Luff, alongside smiling and laughing emoji, while one other fan commented: 'Reside TV has never been so good.'

'Prue Leith saying "p***ed off" on the One Present is the whole lot,' tweeted Hannah Cassidy.

The Bake Off star was married to her first husband, Rayne Kruger, for nearly 30 years until his dying in 2002.

She and John met at a cocktail party and tied the knot in 2016.

Prue Leith's Cotswold Kitchen airs on Saturday at 11:40am on ITV. The One Present airs weekdays from 7pm on BBC One.
