The teenager had been enjoying the getaway together with his mum Kelly, his aunt Katie and nan when tragedy struck.

Jack, from Grimsby, Lincs, was found unresponsive by his "devastated" household at round 10.39pm on September 3 last yr.

Emergency providers rushed him to Alder Hey Youngsters's Hospital in Liverpool the place his heartbroken mum didn't depart his aspect.

Despite greatest efforts, he passed away four days later.

Jack's explanation for dying was a hypoxic mind damage resulting from prolonged cardiac arrest, brought on by an electrocution injury, a advisor at the hospital has since confirmed.

A hearing on Tuesday revealed Tiffany's Lodge had two electrical checks carried out in 2020 – with work happening.

The lodge closed for a number of weeks after the tragedy but has since re-opened.

Further details about the condition of the lodge is predicted to be heard at a ultimate inquest date in the summertime.

In a GoFundMe set up after Jack's demise his aunt Katie, who was with him on the time, stated the kid was the "life and soul of our family".

She wrote on the web page: "My nephew's life was sadly taken after being electrocuted whilst on holiday in& Blackpool.

"It was an incident as a household we wasn't ready for, we weren't expecting to lose our little man at only 10 years previous.

"Jack was the life and soul of our family, all the time laughing and guffawing and placing a smile on our faces.

"He particularly liked going to the seaside and having an ice cream, particularly; double cone vanilla ice cream with sprinkles blueberry sauce and a flake.

"He didn't need to be taken so out of the blue from us.

"Jack has been laid to relaxation in a wonderful personal service, as a family we've coated those additional prices.

"I'm now raising money on behalf of Kelly and Gary to allow them to give Jack the gorgeous memorial headstone they dream of for his or her little boy.

"Any additional donations will go in the direction of supporting dwelling bills while they grieve and making sure Jack's love of adventure, enjoyable and all things silly lives on."
