A BBC presenter broke impartiality rules by calling transgender ladies "males" stay on air.
The broadcaster upheld a grievance towards the Today Show host Justin Webb after he stated "trans ladies, in different words, males" on Radio 4 final August.
A listener complained to the Beeb that the comment showed Mr Webb – paid £280,000 a yr – giving his private view on gender identity, instead of remaining neutral.

The BBC's editorial complaints stated the radio star, 63, "looked like endorsing one viewpoint in a extremely controversial space".
But Fiona McAnena, director of campaigns at the ladies's rights group Intercourse Matters, stated: "By making clear that 'trans ladies' are male, Webb was simply doing his job.
"By disciplining a presenter who states organic actuality and seeks to inform his audience, the BBC has misplaced all credibility."
The BBC also revealed it had acquired 287 complaints about its protection of a narrative on claims trans ladies's milk was nearly as good as breast milk from organic ladies.
A BBC spokeswoman stated: "The BBC's type information states we should always usually use the term and pronoun most popular by the individual in query, until there are editorial reasons not to do so. In this case Justin accepts it might have been more correct to use the term organic male."
