A SERIAL offender dubbed Silent Man — who blocks visitors and refuses to say why — is a spoilt brat who needs to return to prison free of charge meals, his brother has informed The Solar.
David Hampson, 53, stands in entrance of automobiles without speaking until police are pressured to arrest him.
He refuses to elucidate himself to police, judges, or psychiatrists and won't even converse to verify his identify in court.
He has been jailed ten occasions through the years for obstructing the freeway in Swansea metropolis centre.
But last night time, his brother, John, stated it was just a ploy to get free meals and a roof over his head.
He stated: "He's not likely mute. He by no means stops speaking. It is fairly easy really. He's a spoiled brat.
"There's nothing like a protest happening. He simply does it to have a snug life inside prison."
On the day he was launched from jail in October, Hampson was arrested for blocking traffic outdoors Swansea police station.
When JPs granted bail, he did it once more outdoors the courtroom. In December, he obtained six months.
But John, of Swansea, added: "There's nothing incorrect with him. He acts dumb however I can inform you that he is not."
