The incident in 2018 was reported to the town after somebody took a picture of the truck parked on the lawn.

A quotation for the violation was mailed to Fallin although he says he never acquired it.

In consequence, he missed a court date, and an arrest warrant was issued and police picked him up a yr later in 2019.

"They arrested me for that," he advised ABC Information affiliate KTRK on Thursday.

A vote on changing or accepting the cars on laws ban is scheduled to be held at Metropolis Hall on Thursday.

"I actually hope they do the best thing and rise up for our property rights," Fallin stated, although not all residents are supportive.

Nevertheless, Baytown residents took to Fb to share their sympathies with Fallin and their frustrations with the town.

Others highlighted that residents have been punished for parking on their lawns "since 2009" and claimed that "you can't win, even going to courtroom."

"Maybe, it's time for metropolis council to reconsider this ordinance," one other added.
