Formula One followers have been left outraged with the Alpine teamafter they launched their 2024 automotive – only for it to have hardly any paintwork on it in any respect.

The build-up to a brand new F1 season is an exciting time, especially when one-by-one the groups unveil the new machinery they'll be racing.

Most will function hanging liveries and thus far 2024 has not dissatisfied, with McLaren, Haas, Williams and Stake displaying off intriguing designs.

One recurring trait nevertheless, is there's rather more exposed carbon fibre on the bodywork so as to save weight, something that is proving divisive but with the fitting paintings in get be pulled off nicely.

That has not been the case for Alpine nevertheless, with Wednesday's unveiling of the A524 falling quite flat after it was revealed to have barely any paint.

While the automotive itself has been described as 'aggressive', with Alpine radically altering things up after a disappointing 2023, the almost all-black, with a splash of blue and pink colour scheme, hasn't gone down nicely with fans who shared their dismay on social media.

'I assumed Haas had overdone it with the shortage of paint. Alpine have upped the stakes,' tweeted @JJLozzer.

@jahin14 posted: 'Imagine being the livery designer at Alpine. My guy's making a s*** ton of money doing nothing.'

'Superb to me how Alpine manages to make each an exquisite livery for WEC [World Endurance Championship] and an absolute dumpster hearth for F1,' @farsejaire added.

@Aperta stated: 'Like genuinely, what are they paying the livery designers for? Simply putting sponsors on the automotive? And the designers have to be so irritated they will't even do anything with the automotive. Like "aight, see this little 10cm square right here? You are able to do something there".'

As per the previous few years, Alpine will run a 'pink' livery at eight races this season as a consequence of a sponsorship agreement with BWT, and as such unveiled that as properly at their launch.

Having teased a shocking pink camouflage scheme in the build-up, followers have been livid to discover that the alternative livery was virtually equivalent to the unique with only a tad more pink.

'Was really dissatisfied they gave us pink spoiler footage however the pink automotive has barely any pink. I don't like the traditional livery, it seems bizarre,' @BakkerJoyce stated.

'Tbf this Alpine livery appears prefer it was made in full colour, however they failed crash check twice, they had to reinforce the livery after which started stripping colors off, reality they teased pink camo livery and that colour that's truly on the automotive could be very weirdly placed adds up,' @MarsenicStefan mused.

At the finish of the day, it is going to only really matter whether or not the A524 can deliver on the monitor, with F1 testing underway on the finish of February, forward of the first race of the season in Bahrain on 2nd March.
