VOLKSWAGEN have revealed they won't be changing the T-Roc Cabriolet once they launch their up to date version of the SUV next yr.

Worse still, the loss of the T-Roc convertible leaves the VW model and not using a soft-top mannequin throughout its whole range.

The present T-Roc was launched in 2017 with the soft-top version added in 2020.

Last yr, it was the third best-selling motor in Europe with 191,015 registered, based on figures by Dataforce.

In turn, the T-Roc Cabriolet bought 11,693 models – making it Europe's second best-selling convertible after BMW's Mini convertible.

The present T-Roc is on target to be replaced in 2025 by a brand new mannequin using their MBQ Evo platform, and might be VW's last combustion-engine variant.

Followers of the motor have been disheartened at the news, with one writing on Facebook: "This breaks my heart."

One other stated: "It's unhappy to see Europe lose out on convertibles."

In a press release to Solar Motors, VW stated: "Volkswagen is persistently aligning its future product portfolio with the wants of the market.

"As demand for convertibles is declining considerably worldwide, an open-top version of the subsequent era of the T-Roc deliberate for 2025 will not be developed.

"The current model of the T-Roc Cabrio will proceed to be provided in parallel with the new T-Roc past 2025."

This comes as Tesla reveal their new look Model 3 which is set to hit the UK in just a matter of days.

Meanwhile, an Aston Martin hatchback dubbed the "world's rarest city car" has been found abandoned by a main road – with even its quantity plate 'value a fortune'.
